HAMILTONS BOUTIQUE HOTEL

I never usually go to the trouble of writing reviews, but this gorgeous little hotel is worth it. We stayed on a Sunday and got a great rate for the Victory Suite. The room is beautifully decorated, huge, cleaner than you can imagine, with a comfortable bed, and an immaculate bathroom with a super big shower. There was parking out the front of the building and the location is super, just two minutes down the steps and you are on the main seafront. This place is a hidden little gem, and I whole heartedly recommend it.

The Hamilton's is family-run by John and his daughter Rachel. My girlfriend and I stayed there 4 nights. I had great communication with Rachel at the time of booking: she proved very ready and helpful with our very late check-in, so everything went smoothly. The hotel is small but recently renewed thoroughly to a very good taste. It looks like brand new while it recalls old Georgian style! Our double room was the smallest and cheapest one, but still it was great: immaculate, flawless, nicely furnished, sound-proof. The small, clean bathroom featured good towels and toiletries, and a great shower! The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, we slept there like nowhere else! Complimentary snacks, mineral water and everything to treat yourself a coffee or tea was available. The breakfast was excellent and varied: quality cereals and yoghurt, fresh fruit, juices, and an EXCELLENT English breakfast (veggie option available) cooked to order by Rachel. Overall, their attention to detail is amazing. As to the location, well, the Hamilton's is right in the middle of Southend, just off the High St., overlooking nice gardens full of squirrels and the sea. Seafront and the pier are just a cople of minutes' walk away. If you are planning a visit to Southend, don't miss the chance of meeting John and Rachel and their great hotel: you won't regret a single moment of your stay! Thank you!!!

Really nice b and b the rooms are stunning and the rain showers wow could of stayed in it all day! Lovely location within easy reach to a nice variety of restaurants. Some lovely attractions to see. One of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had! Overall really enjoyed everything about my stay and would definitely stay here again and recommend very highly to people. Thank you

We booked this lovely B & B after reading the trip advisor reviews which were brilliant. We were'nt disappointed. The location was great as were the views of the pier and sea.The room was really lovely and the reception we received was very warm & friendly. Whenever we visit Southend this is the place for us!

We arrived late, due to roadworks on the A127. Rachel (standing in for her family) called us to see how we were going, and then gave us perfect directions through the roadworks. The hotel is like a showhome; every room we were in was immaculate in decor, design and cleanliness. Not sterile, but there's a good deal of (justifiable) pride in the place and it shows, and the welcome was second to none. Our bags were carried up the stairs for us, and then Rachel advised us of the local places to go and left us to it, after making sure we had all our questions answered. The bed was nice and comfy, roomy enough for my pregnant wife and I plus a good deal of spare room. The room was quiet, with only the seagulls interrupting our sleep in the morning. Free tea and coffee in the room, complementary choccies and the most space age shower I've ever seen! And again, scrubbed spotless before we returned for our second night. Breakfast was exceptional. Bacon sliced so thick it was almost gammon steaks, a deliciously herby sausage and the best fried eggs I've ever had. Forget the mass produced English breakfast sat drying out and hardening in a bain marie some hotels offer; this was fresh cooked to order and on the table before I'd finished my orange juice. The welcome, room, breakfast, attentiveness and outright excellence delivered by Rachel and her husband has never been paralleled in any of the many 5 star hotels I stay in regularly for work. We were cossetted (they even lent us brollies to go out in the rain with!) endlessly, nothing was too much trouble for Rachel and her team. I'd recommend Hamiltons to anyone. The only downside to the stay was the roadworks, and the weather, and there's nothing that they can do about either! (I wouldn't put it past them to try, though!).

The Hospitality is Second to None!! I've never written a review on a Hotel/B&B before but after staying at the Hamilton View for 1 night, I was eager to write when I got myself settled home. I initially booked the Hotel on the basis of the reviews and thought that as it was given an excellent rating, that I'd give it a try. Its the best place from home and we absolutely adored it. I'm the most picky person and I could not fault anything. We stayed in the Hamilton Suite and the view overlooking the pier was breathtaking even though it was snowing. The room was beautifully decorated. Shower? Lets just say I didn't want to come out!! They cooked us a wonderful full english breakfast- Yum! And they bought me flowers as it was my birthday- They took mine and husbands breath away.... We are going back there again and can't wait!! This is the place to stay!! You'd be conned if you don't!! Thank you Hamilton View for making my stay a wonderful and memorable experience.... Why can't all B&B's/Hotels be like this!!

Boutique exactly as it should be A perfect stay in a gorgeous gem of a hotel. Small and friendly, this family run hotel oozes charm and character with the warmest of welcomes and a very accomodating host. The recently refurbished room was cosy but not cramped and we loved the little ensuite. THe breakfasts were just what we hope for when staying in hotels like this... delicious! We had a really lovely stay and it will always be our first choice for somewhere to stay in the region. Fantastic value for money.

"An oasis in the desert of hotels" Having read all the previous comments, there is little we can add as they sum up our thoughts exactly. Janet and John are the perfect hosts and we would have no hesitation in recommending them and their delightful accommodation. The South East is an area we seldom visit but if/when we visited again, it would be the place we would choose to stay.

Finally a fab place to stay on Southend sea front I had just about given up on finding an even half decent B&B on Southend's sea front...when I happened upon Hamilton's Boutique Accommodationl. What a place! I absolutely loved this hotel. Gorgeous rooms (with decor that you'd want to transport back to your own home), great location and incredibly friendly owners, topped off with a fantastic breakfast. Only slight downside could be lack of private parking, but even that didn't turn out to be an issue for us, as we used the public car park behind the building initially and then were actually able to park right out front of the hotel overnight. I would stay here again and again!

What a View Not open long --- but here to stay. This is a really nice B and B with a friendly and professional staff. We had Nelson's Lookout with a great view over the pier and the water. The bedroom was delightfully furnished and the breakfast was very generous. There are great walks along the prom in both directions. We went as far as Shoeburyness and got the bus back.

Best Boutique Accommodation in Essex I have had the pleasue of staying in Hamilton's Boutique Accommodation for the past 3 months solidly, so I have a little better idea than most regarding it. (And I didn't move to Scotland and buy a title to prove how posh I am!). The hotel has been fantastically clean and very well run for every night that I have stayed. It is not just the very stylishly restored building but the superb welcome that you receive that would make you want to come back again and again. The rooms are all have a very high standard of decoration with great bathrooms and very good amenities. No request was too much for our hosts and both Janet and John made us superbly welcome for every day that we stayed. The breakasts were great- whether cooked or continental- and the attention to detail during our period of stay was superb. I would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone- the views over the water are superb from Nelsons Look out- and it is well situated to the local restaurants of Westcliffe. Do not assume that evey Southend hotel is the same- this hotel is fantastic, please go............................... take my car!

Really lovely hotel Me and my partner had really lovely stay the service was excellent also the room was beautiful. Janet and John are such a nice friendly couple going back next year highly recomended!!!

Nobiltiy at a noble place All I can say here it what we wrote in their guest book when we left this hotel."There are not enough pages in this book to write all the positive things we could say about the Hamilton Boutique Hotel, let alone all the nice things we could say about Janet & John". This place has all the charm and elegance that anyone would expect from a boutique hotel. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and exceptionally filling, what a marvelous way to start the day. My Lady wife and I were shown all the rooms, all of which were furnished to a very high standard. My neice and her husband stayed in the Trafalgar room whilst we stayed in the Hamilton Suite. You truly have to stay here to fully appreciate the Hamilton Boutique Accommodationl we could not fault it and will be regular visitors and hopefully become good friends with Janet and John. My wife and I tend to keep our titles low key but I am happy to endorse this wonderful hotel and will reccomend it to anyone.

La creme de la creme! From the minute I spoke to Janet on the phone to make our booking till the time we left, we were made to feel so welcome at this beautiful hotel and nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple. The hotel feels light; airy and fresh. The Hamilton Suite was a complete joy to stay in and we did not want to leave! The bed linen was pristine and the soft fluffy towels were so nice to wrap yourself up in after a shower! Had a view of the pier and the sea and the hotel is just round the corner from the town centre - handy after a good night out in town! Breakfast was fantastic and scrummy! I would recommend this hotel to all and intend to go back as soona s we can! Thank you to Janet and John for their excellent service and hospitality!
